Beautiful picture! Where is it?

Happy WW! (thanks for having visited my post here).

Bobbie March 11, 2008 at 9:29 pm

I was going to ask the same question as Gabriel. I’d love to know where this is. It’s lovely. Happy WW.

That’s a great shot. I think that the over exposure of the sky makes it look dramatic. Make me number three of wondering where that is.

Natalie March 11, 2008 at 9:48 pm

That’s beautiful!!!

Will March 11, 2008 at 9:52 pm

Thanks! It is a typical March sky in Southern Oregon. We have had a dry past month so the hiking season high in the mountains is getting off to an early start.

That would make a great puzzle. Very pretty.

That looks like someplace I would enjoy being. Where was it taken? :)

ZJ March 12, 2008 at 12:41 am

Wow – this is amazing! Now if only the mountains on this side of the planet are not deforested, it would have been as beautiful as this. Happy WW :D

This is beautiful! Living in a concrete jungle and a small island, we don’t get to see such views! :(

Robert March 12, 2008 at 8:51 am

Hmmm, so which way should the kitchen window face? :)

Frigga March 12, 2008 at 10:37 am

That’s a great picture, I especially like the way the light plays off the clouds. Where’d you take it?

Happy WW :-)

Carmi March 12, 2008 at 11:25 am

I feel very small as I view this shot: and that’s perfectly all right with me. It’s difficult to capture grandeur in a two-dimensional image, but this vista has achieved it, and then some. Stunning.

I’ve posted my WW contribution here:
http://writteninc.blogspot.com/2006/08/look-into-my-eyes.html

I hope you can drop by and say hi.

All the best!

Carmi

Makes me want to go hiking, too.
Or camping!

WOW! What an awesome view!

Michelle March 17, 2008 at 6:29 am

Southern Oregon? It’s quite beautiful! I am in Central Oregon! :-)

Will March 17, 2008 at 2:17 pm

That’s cool, Michelle. Nice to have someone within “shouting” distance! I have hiked a bit in central Oregon. Also camped at Miller Lake south of bend. Sort of the central part of the state. I have spent more time in Eastern Oregon and, of course, my home area of South Western Oregon.

Michelle March 19, 2008 at 7:22 am

Hi Will,

I am in Bend, though not a camper so am unfamiliar with Miller Lake. I’ve done a little hiking around some of the smaller lakes around here, and near Sisters. This area is incredibly beautiful in a Juniper and Sagebrush sort of way! (The High Desert is relatively new to me….I am a transplanted central New Yorker) :)

jennifer March 19, 2008 at 9:03 pm

Oh WOW! That is an amazing photograph. Very beautiful!

Thank you ever so much for stopping by and for your warm wishes on my Hubby’s Birthday. It has been a great day and I appreciate your visit.

The pink shadow was the sunset-light coming in through the glass doors. We were at Panama City for a Thanksgiving Vacation. We made some great beach snap shots on that trip.

Be blessed!

Jennifer
