Wordless Wednesday 2-27-2008

I had these “words” in the first comment, but I moved them up here to better explain this Wordless Wednesday photo.
I know some of you other great WW participants homeschool also. The photo represents one of the perks of being homeschooled and being on good terms with your teacher! This is my 7th grade daughter who has decided that this blustery spring day was just too nice to stay inside. So she has climbed out her window and up on her dormer roof to do her algebra.

You score from there and it’s a three pointer, right?
Thanks for having visited my post today: “Soccer stars”.
Happy WW!

Happy WW! It is evident that she is not afraid of heights…
My WW meme features Barack Obama … from boyhood to manhood.

Oh my! That would of freaked me out too! LOL Well.. when doing homework it’s always best to go where it’s quiet. Sure looks quiet up there.

When I was a music teacher, I would take the younger kids outside to do music games in the grass on nice days. you don’;t have to be sitting at a table or in chairs to learn. Happy WW!

I homeschool, but I don’t let them on the roof! You’re a braver mom than I!
I think I need to hide this site from my ten year old, who would be on the roof in a heartbeat and probably jumping off. LOL!

My first thought was, “Who is she hiding from?” That is too cool she is doing her algebra up there…lol.

Thanks for stopping by my blog to check out my 2 yr old pilot grandson. Love that your daughter has this wonderful place to do her homework. My kids were not afraid of heights when they were young and I had to grit my teeth at times to avoid giving them my phobia’s. Happy WW. Looks like we have some common interests. I will add you to my list.

Great capture! I would hate to be inside too on a spring day!!
Comment by Diana — February 27, 2008 @ 7:53 am
Too funny! I’m not sure my concentration would improve on the roof though - heights are not my thing.

Oh thats cute! My boys would be too scared but they have laid out on the back porch doing their work too. Gotta love homeschooling!
Comment by Just Jen — February 27, 2008 @ 8:37 am
That is awesome!! We did school in the car the other day and many days it’s outside if the weather is great!
Comment by Cassie — February 27, 2008 @ 9:11 am
LOL oh my! I’m going to show that to my 2 home educated Algebra students
Comment by Curious Cat — February 27, 2008 @ 9:12 am
Haha - that reminds me of the 2nd apartment I lived at in college, we had roof access and I would go up there all the time for a quiet place to read. Happy WW

Too funny - perhaps there is better brain waves reception up there?
Comment by kml — February 27, 2008 @ 10:48 am
That’s so cool! I’d would’ve loved to do that too!
Comment by Sarah — February 27, 2008 @ 11:25 am
Oh my goodness, didn’t think I was seeing that right at first! Did she get all of her algebra done?
Comment by Michelle Potter — February 27, 2008 @ 11:57 am
I never home schooled. My daughter is now a sophomore in college. As I look at how much more freedom the children have and how well they are performing on standardized tests, I really see that the parents that do this are very successful.
Comment by Shelia — February 27, 2008 @ 12:14 pm
Now there’s a benefit of being homeschooled. We could never have done that in the public school system. You can’t beat fresh air for clearing your head for algebra.

That’s an awesome photo. It looks like she is praying.

Wow, that is too cool. I wish school would have been like that for me, lol. You take the neatest family shots.
