Sunday Search of the Week 2-22-2009

by Will on February 22, 2009

This week’s search, “eating animals humanely” sort of made me pause and wonder if there is an oxymoron in that phase. I won’t say what is on the menu for dinner, but supposedly it was ethically raised.

hey Will,
While some of your Sunday searches are funny, so others are strange or bizarre, like this one. I have to think the searcher did not mean what they wrote. It kind of gives me chills just to think of it, since for some reason I picture the animal still being alive, otherwise what’s the issue… Ughhhh…. ~ Steve, the trade show guru
PS. Your post “Eating Humane Food | Healthy Living” ranks #7 on google for this search phrase, and your post makes a lot more sense.

You know Steve, sometimes I think the searcher’s native language may play a role. I bet they were looking for information on the ethical production of food, specifically meat. For that they probably did find some of the articles I have written on the topic.

Too funny, nothing like eating animals humanely, the best way.

Hey Will,
For some reason I always forget about people for whom English is not their first language. I would bet that is the explanation for this search, and I’ll have to keep that in mind for the future. As I said, the alternative explanation is just too bizarre. :) ~ Steve
