In addition to some extra time at work and a LOT of time in the garden, I have been working many hours on the effort to get our local food co-op open. I have written a few times about this project, but now there is a sense that we may finally be getting to the home stretch. We have a location and we have a good chunk of the needed money. The time frame is winding down, but I am hoping that even if we don’t get 100% of the way to the finish by the deadline, maybe we will be close enough that the owners will extend the time a bit. The time commitment this effort is demanding of me is enormous, but of the 6 or 7 people really involved in the effort, I am near the bottom in terms of hours spent working on it. It is amazing how much of their lives a few people have given over to this store. Thank heavens for them though, as it would never happen without it!
