Did Rosemary Clooney eat red meat? This is the question this week’s searcher wanted answered. I don’t think they found the answer here, but as soon as I saw the search, I knew the post they landed on. I wrote about Hormel and Cargill using carbon monoxide to keep meat red and about the competitor who wanted to use their own rosemary extract to do the same. as for Ms. Clooney, I don’t know for sure. But given the time in which she lived and the fact that she smoked, and died of lung cancer, I can’t see why she would have thought she should avoid red meat.
