Hey Will,
Even after seeing 90% of my green bean seedling eaten by snails in the morning (in the past), I still have to say “depressed gardener” seems like an oxymoron to me. How can anyone be depressed when they’re gardening? Especially if they’re growing tomatoes. BTW, I picked two red tomatoes this week (off the plant I had mentioned that has survived since last fall and is now producing fruit. Yes, red tomatoes in February! And they tasted good too. Not as good as summer tomatoes, but better than store-bought tomatoes any time of the year. ~ Steve

Red tomatoes in February??!! Now I am depressed! Actually, knowing your penchant for humoring us all, I feel obligated to ask to see a photograph of these alleged “red tomatoes in February”.
On second thought maybe I don’t want to see them.
Hey Will,
I did take pictures so they may or may not make an upcoming blog post. My problem now is to decide whether or not to take out the plant and replace it since I don’t think it will produce much this summer. It is nice to have a tomato or two in February since usually I am late to get my seedlings in and then the fog stunts them for several weeks and I’m not getting fresh tomatoes until August or September. ~ Steve, the trade show guru
PS. Didn’t mean to depress you.
