A few days ago I took advantage of a typical Southern Oregon winter and spring… on the same day. In the morning I traveled about 30 minutes to go snowshoeing where the first photo below was taken. When I got home in the afternoon, I did a bit of work in the garden where the other two photos were taken. Same day, 30 minutes apart. Now that is being spoiled isn’t it? Beautiful spring weather at home and only a short drive to get some last enjoyment out of winter.

That’s quite a contrast. Probably a bigger range than some places have the entire year. Spring is almost here, too (Southern Ontario), but we had a bit of wet snow yesterday!

Yeah. Really spring here in the flatland valley. But still winter up in the mts. just a few miles away. Tomorrow going hiking about 1/2 way in between. We will see what we find!
Will you are very lucky. Your spring looks nothing like ours. Hardly anything green here. Wow, I am amazed. Anna

The benefits of both seasons at once. The trek through the snow looks like fun. Now it’s your turn for great gardening weather as everything here is starting to die off for the coming winter.
Yes Tony, it is spring for the garden here. I have lettuce, peas, collards, chard, radishes, and kale already started or ready to eat and will spend a few hours today getting other things ready. As your garden goes to bed, mine awakens. So the tables are turned for a few months. To bad we can’t share produce between Tasmania and Oregon as easily as we share blog posts!
You are very fortunate when it comes to weather. My place doesn’t have a good weather condition nowadays. I am missing the spring touches already!
