Darn if you always forget it, that may not be a good thing. I know you used it for a while so… I have been trying some anti spam plugins to supplement Akismnet. This one seems to work well, but forces a check in the box. That is better than captcha, but still not transparent to commentators which is what I want.
Glad to see you back! I hope things look up for you two soon. Losing someone like that is tough. As we get older though, having to deal with that becomes a more common and unfortunate fact of aging.
The checkbox doesn’t bother me, I just always forget it but that’s no big deal. I can’t remember the other one I replaced it with now but the commentors pretending to leave genuine comments with spammy links to their site still got through to akismet. Whatever you have to do to keep the spammers away.
Also thank you for your kind words Will. Much appreciated. It’s kind of a big relief now the funeral’s over. She was going through a bad time as she had alzheimers & was deteriorating a lot lately so at least she didn’t have to continue on down that terrible path of suffering. They said the heart attack was quick & it appeared that she was probably already gone before she hit the floor.
