In 2012 Forget the Rest – Elect Will Taft…Again

by updated 2012/02/12

This creative young lady must have had a school project or something to design a campaign ad for the 1912 election and she really hit a home run! Maybe our best choice in 2012 is to write in a candidate who died in 1930. Now that’s a sad commentary on the state of political affairs.

Catchy song.

Guess that’s given me enough words now…

Yeah I use a variety of tools to try to repel spam. That one actually stops a lot of it. You would be amazed at how many auto spam bots put up comments like “Nice Post” or “Thanks!” or “Good suggestion!” and then a link to a spam site. It is actually very unusual to get a comment from a real person that is less than 3 or 4 words.

And yes it is catchy. I am not sure if she just put the words to an existing song or if that song is her creation also. Very well done either way.

Personally, I’m supporting Fraz for President. He promises to mess things up less than anyone else.

Brilliantly catchy! Love your idea of writing in a deceased candidate – wonder how long it would take for the politicians to notice?!

More of a Teddy Roosevelt man myself, if I gotta go Republican, but I’ll give Taft’s team points for reaching the young vote with a YouTube campaign. (Young in this case meaning the -85 to -70 set.)

This should serve as a wake up call to those politicians. They to go back to the basics where they are mandated to serve the needs of the people and not only a select group.

Too funny. When I saw the headline I thought that YOU were entering the rough and tumble of politics, Will. (Oh wait, you’re not a millionaire megalomaniac, so maybe you Can’t go into politics.) I hope this note finds you doing well, Will.

Hi Alan – Yes, I sure don’t have what it takes to withstand the rough and tumble of what politics has become. And that is probably why I am not and will never be a megalomaniac, or any other kind, of millionaire. Glad you commented, I did not know about your muses site, or the Way Back Machine.

The song is so cool and catchy indeed! Imaginative and timely! Surely, this will be an eye opener and politicians may get their strategies on this ad. The message is clear yet so comically true!
