Privacy, Tracking, and Cookies


I recognize that privacy of your personal information is important. Here is information on what types of personal information may be collected when you use visit, and how your information is protected.  I never sell your personal information to anyone.

Most websites collect and use the data contained in hosting log files. The information in the log files include your IP address, your ISP, the browser you are using and the pages you visited throughout our site.

There are occasionally also some third party advertisements on to defray some of the expense of running the site. Some advertisers may use technology like cookies which can collect information in the same way as the log files listed above.  Mostly this is used for geographical purposes (showing San Francisco Restaurant ads to people in San Francisco or displaying ads based on site history.  For example,  showing ads for the food channel to people who visit lots of cooking websites.

You can chose to disable or selectively turn off cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.
